Vivian Blaine
(1921 - 1995)

Comedienne best known for her portrayal of "Miss Adelaide" in
the original company of GUYS AND DOLLS and in the film version opposite
Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando, Vivian Blaine was under contract to
20th-Century Fox during much of the 1940s appearing in a number of musical
films including JITTERBUGS, GREENWICH VILLAGE and STATE FAIR.
Her only other musical roles on Broadway were Joanne in
COMPANY, Irene in SAY DARLING and Madame Hortense in ZORBA. She also
played Miss Adelaide in the 1953 London production of GUYS AND DOLLS
performing for Queen Elizabeth II.
Following the success of the GUYS AND DOLLS, she found
work extensively in cabaret, on television and as a recording artist until
her retirement in 1984.
An acknowledged fashion icon, her name could be found on
many best-dressed lists throughout her career. |

David Garrison

Fans of the TV series MARRIED WITH CHILDREN will recognize
David Garrison as Steve Rhoades, the Bundys' next door neighbor. But
Broadway musical theatre fans heard him first.
Garrison made his Broadway debut in the short-lived revue A HISTORY OF
AMERICAN FILM with Walter Bobbie, Swoozie Kurtz and Brent Spiner also in the
cast. He received a Tony nomination for his double roles of Groucho/Serge
in A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD/A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE. Roles in the original
company of TITANIC and the 2001 revival of BELLS ARE RINGING followed.
In 2005, he played the Wizard in the smash hit WICKED.
In addition to his stage and screen work, he has lent his
talents to many studio cast recordings including I DO! I DO!, SHOW BOAT,
KISS ME KATE, OF THEE I SING and GIRL CRAZY.
On May 18th, he will be participating in a benefit concert
performance of PAMELA'S FIRST MUSICAL, a new musical work based on
playwright Wendy Wasserstein's acclaimed children's with music by Cy Coleman
and lyrics by David Zippel starring Tony-winner Donna Murphy as Pamela's
musical theatre loving Aunt Louise. The performance, to be held at
Manhattan's Town Hall theatre, also features Broadway stars Carolee Carmello,
Sandy Duncan, Tommy Tune, Gregg Edelmann and Christine Ebersole. (Ticket
